If you read the material on my website you will find it is controversial to
say the least. And there are many people who make it a career to remove web
material they consider controversial. I read on the net people of the
self-identified jewish persuasion encouraging other to complain to
Dreamhost.
I did not discover until a few months later how serious had been the
organized effort to get this website removed. And I learned Dreamhost had
stuck to it guns that the material on my website was not illegal under the
laws of the US or the laws of the state of California in which it operates.
If you have ever experienced an organized attack by these folks you know how
persistent they can be. They tie up business lines, harass the people who
answer the phone, threaten boycotts, anything you can think of they will do
it. And still Dreamhost did not back down.
Dreamhost makes no special profit from me. I have a "Code Warrior" account
so removing my website would be less than one man-hour of loss per month.
They had no reason to cherish my patronage.
The integrity of Dreamhost is what matters.
Besides all that. I had a billing problem. After responding to the form
email notice I had two people offering to help. They were personal offers
not form responses. All accounts are equal for them.
If you are a techno-nerd you will not be disappointed. And if you are not
they help personally and with online help files. And there are
do-it-yourself kits online for all the common things you might want to do.
If you click on the logo I get 10% of what you pay. And you will get the
same offer for those who join through you. If you need a host with integrity
join any way you want rather than through clicking on the icon. With a
website like mine, I have decided they need a few testimonials.
