Iran has until July
To agree to suspend all isotopic separation. In July there will be three
carrier battle groups in position to attack Iran.
It has also been made public that the targets will be not just the uranium
facilities rather every military and many civilian assets in the country
will be targets. If the reason is only nuclear facilities what is the point
of attacking everything else unless nuclear work is just an excuse.

Zarqawi is dead
The favorite bogeyman of the US, the man behind all the terrorism in Iraq,
is dead -- again but this time for real. So now we have an opportunity to
test the claims about him.
Attacks are currently running 600 per week. If they decrease he was behind
them. If there is no change he was not and the claim was a lie.
Can the troops come home now?
Bush says no. Why not? He won't say.

Rice says most Iraqis want Americans to stay
When did she commission a poll of Iraqi opinion on this? She didn't? Which
poll result did she use? None? Then is one of her skills mind reading or
crystal ball gazing? How about reading tea leaves?
It gets worse.
"We have had some bad incidents and there continue to be allegations of
others which will be investigated," Rice said on "Fox News Sunday." "But
overwhelmingly, American forces there are putting their lives on the line
every day, protecting Iraqis, helping to liberate them -- that is
appreciated by the Iraqi people and by the prime minister."
So Americans are Helping to liberate them. From whom? Hussein is
gone. They have an elected government. From whom are they being liberated?
The Bushites include liberate in every speech even if it makes no sense.
They do it because liberate played well in WWII. There is no other reason.
It is the same reason Hussein became one more in a long string of new
Hitlers, because it worked in WWII.
The correctness of antisemitism
When the wall was announced anyone who said its purpose was annexation was
labeled an antisemite. Now that Israel has announced the wall will become
the border of Israel antisemitism has been exonerated.
2006 June 02
Prepping for the Iran war
Three carrier battle groups will be off shore of Iran in about a week. So
who is going to support this war? And how dare they fight back in
unconventional ways.
Americans say Bush worst president since 1945
Why? Because the poll didn't go back any further than 1945.
W and Condi together again in bed
Sort of a waste to get into the rumors save to show it will get more
attention that American deaths in Iraq.
2006 June 01
US will talk with Iran if enrichment stops
Iran previously did stop enrichment but the US refused to talk. Why should
Iran do that again? In any event Bush knows that. Meaning he has only wants
to blame Iran for no talks.

Insurgent attacks in Iraq at all time high
And that means 600 per week. And the gov only started keeping records two
years ago when there were 400 attacks per week. So the insurgency has gotten
stronger in the last two years.
Notice speaking of withdrawal from yesterday. Does anyone believe
the troops will start coming home when the situation is clearly getting
worse? Does Bush believe it? If not why did he say it?
So next time you hear about a plan to withdraw troops carefully read the
news the next day to find out how many additional troops are being sent to
Iraq. It has happened every time.
Massacre in Haditha
There were protests and riots over Abu Ghraib and the Dutch cartoons of
Mohamed but no reaction at all to the massacre. Why? It is old news. It is
nothing new. It has been going on since the invasion three years ago. The
guerrillas are doing the protesting.
2006 May 30
Speaking of withdrawal from Iraq
That is all we hear in the speeches but in the news all we hear about is
more troops being sent to Iraq, 3500 more announced today. Withdrawal in the
future and more troops now. Do we see the light at the end of the tunnel
yet?
2006 May 29
Marine massacre in Haditha
Old news but it finally made the mainstream media only 4 or 5 months after
the worthless internet carried the same story.
So what are American troops doing in Iraq? To achieve victory! What does
Victory mean? ... ummmm ... To achieve victory!
Of course these Marines are going to hung out to dry just as for Abu Ghraib.
It is always a few bad apples. Command negligence does not matter and it
will go no higher than a sergeant so no one really cares. No officers were
involved. There is no question of command responsibility. It was just
another rogue My Lai event never to be repeated -- and all other events just
like it never happened.
Iraqis will understand
Of course they will just as they understood Saddam Hussein. It is only a
job. It is nothing personal. It is just what they do not who they are.
I! do not understand. What in the hell were they doing in Iraq in the
first place? I have heard all the lies. Not one of them is credible. On top
of murdering tens of thousands of Iraqis, on top of 2500 dead Americans, on
top of 20,000 maimed for life, we are going to have to send these men to
prison for life.
WHY? Why any of this? Because "He tried to kill my pappy"?
2006 May 26
Victory is at hand
We are on the offensive! The forces of terrorism are retreating all across
Europe or Iraq or wherever they are they are retreating.
2006 May 19
Whatever happened to Valerie Plame
The point of the investigation was to find who committed a felony by outing
her. Now all we have is an investigation into people who lied to cover-up who
outed her. Are we supposed to forget the objective is to drain the swamp?
2006 May 15
State secrets
The US has come to commonly use a leftover from the days of monarchies,
invoking a "state secrets privilege." There is no provision in the
constitution for such a thing. It does not exist in law. Therefore there is
no such thing in the United States.
National Guard deployed to the border
An idea too late in coming but nevertheless, Bush has no authority to do
that on his own say so. He has to have the states request them be deployed.
The only exception to this rule is if they are there to in fact protect the
borders from invasion. In that case shoot on sight is a reasonable order.
2006 May 13
Bush approval down to 29%
How is it polls can find these people when no one else can?
2437 American troops dead
Where are the good old says when people were wondering what would happened
when the total hit 1000?
2006 May 5
Collapse of the Old World Order
Looking back a century we find the US barely capable of war beyond national
defense. The whole Spanish-American war was fun but no more difficult than
the first Gulf War. When the first world war came around and the US declared
war half the men in the army had never fired a rifle. After that war America
soured on war and returned to its prewar attitude towards foreign wars.
Then came glorious WWII and the country went back on a war footing. After
WWII came the Cold War and the country remained on a war footing. By the
time the Cold war ended America had been on a war footing for half a
century.
The entire economy of the US is based upon war. All the leadership rose to
power based upon war. They do not know how to think differently. The economy
does not know how to get off a war footing.
The electorate does not know what to do without imminent war. There are no
leaders who can think outside the terms of war.
And thus America will stay at war until it runs out of enemies or goes
bankrupt fighting those it creates. Cheney just declared Russia is going
back to its old ways for selling gas and oil at fair market prices. Russian
media declared it is the start of a new Cold War. Bush did his damnedest to
alienate the Prime Minister of China on his visit.
It has gotten so bad that lunatic Bush has said his fake Global War On
Terrorism is WWIII. Fake? Iraq did not support terrorism but hundreds of
billions are still being wasted while ignoring sources of terrorism. The
search of bin Laden abandoned "I don't think much about him at all" while
building up to a war with Iran which also does not support terrorism.
Someone tell me it is not hopeless.
2006 May 1
70+ Americans died in Iraq last month
Keep in minds it means exactly that. It does not count those who died
outside of Iraq from injuries received in Iraq.
The Israel lobby?
How is it worse than the Russian lobby? the Chinese lobby? the Egyptian
lobby? Do not all countries have organizations of American citizens lobbying
special favors and money for them in Washington and against US interests?
Honest answers to those questions are the problem with the Israel lobby.
2006 April 29
Sacrifices Bush is prepared to make
70 for April, 2402 total. Will there be special ceremonies at 2500, 5000 and
10,000, 20,000? When will there be too many to find space an Iraq Wall on
the Mall?
2006 April 28
What authority for war on Iran?
Bush has none but he talks like he does. If he does without a declaration of
War then he has crossed the Rubicon and won. And then the US Republic is
dead and we only elect dictators.
The deadline for Iran in the UN
The US pushed that off another week to 9 May. Maybe there is some
negotiations going on. One has to ask if Israel will approve of any
agreement that comes from the negotiations.
The only thing that will satisfy Israel is if Iran goes back to the days of
the Shah and trans-ships oil to the Med via Eliat on the Red Sea. Under that
agreement Israel got cut rate oil from Iran. Unless Iran returns to doing
that Israel will continue to claim Iran is a threat to the entire world and
fools will continue to believe Israel.
Another videotape from a terrorist
As our government has admitted is pays to create fake news in the Mideast
how can we take seriously anything that comes from the Mideast?
2006 April 27
planned for 1 May
Our criminal illegals are going to take to the streets to protest being
called criminals. Isn't this what surveillance cameras are for? Mass
arrests? Should we look forward to a Mafia Rights march come Columbus Day?
Guest commentary on US/Israel
relations
Iran crunch next week
Friday 28 April is the deadline the UN gave Iran to resume its voluntary
suspension of enriching uranium. Obviously Iran will not. The UN takes up
want to do about Iran exercising its rights under the NPT. The credibility
of the US is at stake. Can the US bend the UN to Israel's demand for an
attack Iraq? Time will tell.
2006 April 26
Cost of Iraq war
With the same number of troops, with no additional reconstruction, with the
end of major combat operations, the cost of the Iraq war keeps increasing.
How can this be? The money requested this year is more than double the cost
in 2003, the invasion year.
The obvious guess it is being spent on preparations to attack Iran.
Remember Bush misappropriated money (a crime) from the Afghanistan war to
prepare for the Iraq war. So I am not saying anything we have not seen
before.
Moussaoui is the 20th hijacker
But back in 2003 the US said the luggage that missed the flight on Atta's
plane into the WTC contained the names of all 19 hijackers. You would
think the government would have introduced the list of 20 names into
evidence at Moussaoui's trial if there really were 20. So if there were only
19 names how can be be the 20th?
2006 Apr 24
Bush approval rating
It is dropping about one point per week, 33% last week, 32% this week. So
what disastrous action is he going to take to attempt to salvage his
presidency? Will he really wait another two months for it to drop to Nixon
levels?
Impeachment now!
A congressional rule of order permits states to submit bills of impeachment.
The legislatures of Illinois and California have them under consideration.
The real stupidity on Iraq
Everyone can see this adventure is headed for disaster. You have to be blind
as a bat and get your news from Fox to think otherwise. Every sign says this
war will fail.
The stupidity is no one is willing to admit it.
The death rate is constantly on the rise. The cost is increasing -- three
times more this year than in 2003. There is no end in sight. There is no
light at the end of the tunnel. We don't even know if this is a tunnel or
the eternal reality. Nothing tried has made things better. Elections have
made things worse.
There is no excuse for this. Support our troops? Good idea. Bring them home.
Promote democracy? We did not go there to do that.
Eliminate WMDs? They never existed.
Give them a stable society after we destabilized it? If they want to kill
each other why should we be in the middle?
Supported an idiot with delusions of grandeur. Yes, we did support Bush.
It is time to leave before we have a helicopter moment atop the embassy in
Baghdad.
2006 April 22
9 more dead
Eight in Iraq and one in Afghanistan, our troops that is. It is such a
loverly war.
2006 April 21
Bush approval rating drops to 33%
67% have finally figured out he lied us into war.
CBS accidentally tells a truth
The evening news reported the death of a Marine in Fallujah and then went
into the ironic connection it was on the same day the Marines were
conducting a memorial ceremony for 13 Marines who were killed in Fallujah in
December.
It was in October 2004 that the offensive in Fallujah was started to end the
insurgency there. An unfortunate letter from an
officer there three months later let out the fact they were still
fighting in Fallujah. Now it appears the fighting in Fallujah continued
until at least December 2005, 14 months and still fighting. Did this escape
censorship at CBS?
2006 April 19
Diplomacy with Iran
One of Bush's favorite lies is that he prefers diplomacy with Iran instead
of war. Sounds good. So where is this diplomacy? Which Americans are meeting
which Iranians? Where is the press coverage of their meetings?
2006 April 18
Starvation of Palestinians continues
The west has cut off funding for the Palestinian government. It hardly
matters of they have money for food as Israel refuses to let food into Gaza.
Nibble on this reality. When the food intake of a population decreases the
death rate increases. Diseases and injuries that could ordinarily be
survived become fatal for more people. In the simplest terms, this is a
calculated act of mass murder.
Money for health care and medicine has been cut off. Do you take any
medication to stay healthy? So do they and it is no longer available.
Lack of sanitation causes disease. Money for basic sanitation has been cut
off. Israel casually discusses cutting off electricity as a next step. Can
cutting off water be far behind?
Why can't they take care of themselves? Because Israel has cut off all their
contact to the outside world.
But certainly foreign health organizations can go there, right? US law has
declared anyone who does so and their organization to be supporting
terrorism.
Why all of this? Because they has free and fair elections and Israel doesn't
like the winners.
Democracy means electing a government other countries want to see rule.
Out of touch with reality
Or you can call it lying.
"Iran, defying United Nations Security Council demands to halt its nuclear
program, may be capable of making a nuclear bomb within 16 days." -- Stephen
Rademaker, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for International Security and
Nonproliferation
The UN Security Council made no such demand. This man is drawing a paycheck.
He is out of touch with reality or he is lying. Needless to say the 16 days
is also out of touch with reality and a lie.
2006 April 17
Bomb attack in Israel
Hamas correctly says Palestinians
have a right to resist occupation. Israel and the US say Palestinians have
no right to resist the occupation. Of course, poodle Abbas says Palestinians
should continue to bend over and ask for more.
For the record, 9 Israelis were killed in the bombing as opposed to 20
Palestinians murdered by the IDF in the last two weeks. This on top of
starving 1.5 million in Gaza. Who can sympathize with Israel, the guilty
party.
Bush at the polls
Approval rating continues to decrease. Disapproval continues to increase.
Congress continues to ignore it.
The 2004 elections were marked by great voter apathy because there was no
difference between the candidates. 2006 is shaping up to be another election
with the candidates offering the same agenda. But at the moment the gap is
55 to 40 for the Democrat candidate regardless of who it is.
So what will be get? A bipartisan forever war. Am I being a pessimist? Nixon
was elected because LBJ screwed up Vietnam so badly. He gave us the
Republican version of Vietnam.
The only real change will be after the US gets its ass kicked as happened in
Vietnam -- no rewrites of history accepted.
When I say it ignore it. When Newt Gingrich says it, pay attention.
But at least things are going well in Afghanistan
So why is Britain looking to increase the number of troops there instead of
decreasing them? That war has been going on nearly a year and a half longer
than Iraq. Obviously it is not yet won.
2006 April 16
37 dead US troops as of today
Retired Generals and active ones
Retired ones appear united against Rumsfeld. No retired general is speaking
in support of Rumsfeld. It remains to be seen what the active duty ones will
do if ordered to attack Iran. The smart money is on mass resignations.
But don't cheer yet. One way or another the solution to everything they
bring up is more troops. More troops means the return of the draft.
And if you are one of those thinking about a military coup, pro or con, the
only possible way to pull it off is to have Bush's father become the interim
president. I doubt he is available.
This just in
Israel says Iran threatens all life in the universe. The spokesman for the
United Federation of Planets had no comment.
2006 April 15
Nations that support terrorism
The US has become one of them in support the Iranian terrorist group, MeK.
Don't take Iran's word for it. The US State Department lists them as
terrorists. We are using them against Iran just as Hussein used them against
Iran.
2006 April 14
Speaking of stupid things
The neo-cons have discovered Iran is the new Nazi Germany. This is after
discovering Hussein was a new Hitler and after discovering Milosevic was a
new Hitler. I didn't realize Hitler was such a pussycat.
As I have mentioned before these fools are so fixated on Hitler and Nazis,
perhaps because so many of them are Jews, that they can't see what is in
front of them. Their invented word, Islamofascist is related to the Nazis
but it is what communists have always called the Nazis, Fascists. So in
addition to being Jewish they are also communists. Which they admit although
prefer Trotskyite. Don't matter to me. The only good communist is a dead
communist.
Julius Streicher never called for anything that happened during WWII not
even for the war itself yet he was hanged. The neo-con columnists did in
fact call for war against Iraq and are calling for war against Iran. They
are much more culpable than Streicher. As the Nuremberg trials were a
consequence of WWII, these folks should not asking for an exact parallel to
that war. But for the record, I would have no problem seeing them executed
for the crime of conspiracy to cause an aggressive war.
But it is worse than just seeing a new Hitler running countries they don't
like. Using the WWII model of postwar times, they did not plan for a
resistance movement as there were none in post-war Germany. They talked
about a liberal democracy in Iraq because one was installed in post-war
Germany. And the aftermath of the war would be great for America as that is
what happened after WWII.
Compare what really happened in Iraq to the pre-war fantasies. Now
substitute Iran for Iraq to see the the pre-war fantasies about Iran to the
reality of what post-war Iran will be like.
Remember the lies
Bomb a country long enough and the people will rise up and overthrow
their goverment. There have been many bombing campaigns. That has never
happened. It has always increased the people's support of the government. A
decade of bombings and even conquest did not cause Iraq to surrender much
less revolt.
2006 April 13
12 days of April, 35 dead Americans in Iraq
Bring 'em on.
So why the push for war on Iran?
Before anyone else Israel, Christian Zionists, neo-cons and assorted other
izziehuggers were pushing for war on Iraq. They were the loudest voices
calling for the present mess in Iraq. A few months before the war started
the Prime Minister of Israel told the politicians in Israel to shut up about
it else Israel would be seen as the cause.
The same people have been calling for war on Iran. There is no point asking
why. They simply are. Last month the Prime Minister of Israel told the
politicians to stop calling for war else Israel would be seen as the cause.
The same scare tactics used to stir up war on Iraq are being repeated about
Iran. The same tactic of increasing demands until Iran cannot comply is
being used as evidence Iran is not cooperating.
2006 April 11
Immigration law reform
One way or another we have been able to keep our managed economy (never call
it free) to about a four good years for each bad year. We are now in a good
cycle with unemployment about as low as it is going to go, as low as it ever
gets. On 10 April 2006 NBC News gave out the factoid that 7.2 million
illegals in this country are employed. (I would very much like to know where
that came from as surveys are not practical.)
Turns out the current unemployment rate is 4.7% which is also 7 million
people -- US Government, Bureau of Labor Statistics checked this date.
Sounds like an exact match. A one for one exchange of illegals for jobs.
Problem is the two major categories of unemployment are people between jobs
either in their field or between their regular seasonal jobs. Ski resorts
have staff mostly in Winter and theme parks mostly in Summer leaving Spring
and Fall as unemployment months. Of course jobs as say store clerks are lost
as fast as they are created in other stores. A month or two unemployment
finding the new job is in the statistics. Say 3% is for these reasons and
there are only 1.7% or about 2 million Americans who could have jobs without
illegals. (Subtract 2 million illegals from existing jobs and fill them with
Americans.)
Then there is the unemployed mother of ten who is in that 1.7%, long term
disabled, lacking basic education or even intelligence, and any number of
other legitimate reasons. So there are fewer than 2 million Americans
available to fill them. This indicates the US is in a labor deficit
situation. We have more jobs than workers.
The illegals are demonstrating
The good news for them is they caught onto the problem of carrying Mexican
flags. It is not the way to promote the fiction of wanting to become
citizens.
For the rest of us, if we get inconvenienced by one that is the worst of it.
It is not as though illegals vote. Or do they? If so, that is a crime and
cause for deportation so we don't need a new law.
2006 April 09
Israel pressuring the US to attack Iran
Excuse me. What other country has ever pressured the US to make war on a
country? Even Americans from Cuba are not this obnoxious about attacking
Cuba. Yet this obnoxious behavior by Israel is so common it goes unremarked.
2006 April 07
Why attack Iran?
At no time has Iran violated any treaty regarding anything nuclear, period.
Because that is true everyone saying or suggesting or implying Iran has is
lying to justify a war.
But Bush has given Iran an ultimatum. That paints the US into a corner.
Either Iran complies or defies Bush. Bush will paint that as defying America
and paint the war as patriotic. His braindead supports will agree. There
will be a war totally against the interests of the United States.
How can Bush back down now?
White House leaks
Irving "I. Lewis Scooter Libby" Liebowitz gave Cheney for the authorization
to leak the National Intelligence Estimate to the New York Times. He said
that at first he refused saying it was classified and only did so after
Cheney told him Bush had approved it. So there is no statement on
record Bush approved it.
There is no question the leak was lawful if Bush did in fact authorize it.
It was not lawful if Cheney authorized it. It was doubly criminal if Cheney
lied about Bush authorizing it. In any event no one is claiming it
was declassified at the time it was leaked.
2006 April 05
Attacking Iran
One is not permitted to say Israel is behind the US push for attacking Iran.
Israel was not only the first to demand war on Iraq it was also the first to
demand war on Iran. We are supposed to ignore the fact the neocons are also
izziehuggers, people whose infatuation with Israel cannot be distinguished
from patriotic loyalty to Israel above the US.
Only three years after the nuclear weapon lie about Iraq are not objecting
to the same lie about Iran. Iran is declared to be a great threat to the
stability of the middle east even though the only country in the middle east
saying that is Israel which is demanding the war on Iran in the first place.
Nuclear armed Israel claims it is a perpetual victim while openly threatening to cut off middle east oil
with its nuclear weapons.
Why does not Iran go along with whatever the US demands? Iraq did and they
can see what happened. Iran liberalized and that earned it a spot on the
axis of evil list. Iran in fact continues to liberalize, its elections are
much more open than those of Egypt, but Israel and the tail US continue to
threaten Iran with war.
Bush won't really do it
People said the same thing about Iraq and he did. Would he really risk
doubling the price of oil? The price of has doubled since the Iraq war
started. He did it once. He will do it again.
But the US does not have the military manpower... After the US starts the
war Iran will strike back. Stupid Americans will then buy into a "what the
hell did you expect Iran to do?" counterattack as a "Pearl Harbor" and the
draft will be back.
The bottom line of all of this
Iraq was never a threat to either the US or even pissant
Israel. Iran is not a threat to either country, period.
But what if I am wrong?
You can read here two obvious things. The
first is they were wrong or lying in 2003 when they said it would be too
lated in 2004. The second is as this is 2006 it is two years too late to
stop Iran. But the important part for the warmongers is that Americans are
too stupid to pay attention to what is being said. Americans are to stupid
to notice the lies.
2006 March 31
Americans are dying for Israel
Asked recently about his position on Iran's alleged nuclear ambitions,
President Bush said, “I made it clear, and I'll make it clear again, that we
will use military might to protect our ally Israel.”
It is good to finally read he says Americans are dying for Israel. And if
Bushites dislike that, he has pledged Americans will die for foreigners in
the future. I guess that is because AIPAC has absolutely no influence in the
US government.
Let me say it again. Any attachment to any foreign country is treason. And
that applies to Jerry Falwell as well as Abe Foxman. If we tolerate
allegiance to Israel we tolerate allegiance to Iraq, Iran and communist
China. They are all foreigners, period.
Die for Israel. Go straight to Bush's heaven. Get fucked by Falwell. He
isn't a priest but his cock is in the right place.
Too obscene and too cynical
I agree. Americans only die for good things like forcing democracy on
foreigners. They die for human rights for other people. They die for peace.
It does not matter that they kill foreigners until they are democratic. It
does not matter than other people's ideas of human rights are like those in
the US only a century ago and must be forced to change. It does not matter
there was peace before the Americans invaded. All that matters is Americans
are given a reason to die.
Not that the dead hear the reason.
No longer do Americans defend America. I know we are fighting them in Iraq
because we wanted to turn Iraq into a slaughterhouse. We are killing them in
Iraq before they get immigrant visas and fight us in Iowa. Never ask why we
simply do not shut off immigrant visas. At least the imperial Bush WE wanted
it that way.
2006 March 28
Massacre in the Mustafa mosque
Americans can't believe it. So? It only matters what Iraqis believe. It does
not matter what happened. It only matters what Iraqis believe happened. The
Lt. General Chiarelli says the Iraqis faked the massacre. Did he say it in
English or Arabic?
Every high ranking Iraqi politician has called for an investigation. All
effort towards forming a government has ceased. They have demanded the US
turn over all security responsibilities. It is clear whom the political
leaders believe.
Why did they stop working on forming a government? Because they had been
working on forming the kind of government demanded by the US. The demands
are a national unity government contrary to the election results and
including Iyad Allawi. Allawi did not get enough votes to qualify. So they
have ceased accommodating the US in forming an undemocratic government.
Gen. Pace reiterates, US will stay until the job is done
He still declines to volunteer as to what the job is or what done means.
Maybe that is because Bush won't tell him.
2006 March 25
Protesting immigration reform around the country
The illegals have been out in force protesting proposed laws making illegals
even more illegal. Who says free speech is dead in this country? In one
respect you have to admire it. They have the cajones to take their lead from
NAMBLA.
Being in the US without permission is illegal. I don't see their point other
than they want to be criminals. I can see not wanting to be in Mexico. It is
a corrupt and crime-ridden country. Pick any reason they are said to be here
and read it as not being available to them in Mexico. Are they here for
freedom? Is there no freedom in Mexico? Opportunity? None in Mexico
obviously. Prosperity? Agreed Mexico is too corrupt for prosperity.
So how about we given them M-16s and some training before we send them back?
Let them clean up their own country so they won't want to leave.
But in all the discussion lets keep to the only point of interest. They are
illegal. A country has the absolute right to control whom they permit into
the country. May not like it but it is an absolute right. Every other
argument and consideration is beside the point.
All of these are beside the point
Amnesty? We tried that back in 1988. Here we are with more illegals than in
1988. Why do it again?
Do we want those who are here now to stay here? I have no idea. I do know
that the drug dealers and other traditional criminals among them won't be
bothered by any new law. So we will only be losing some of those we might
want to stay.
Will any law change anything? Probably not. There are supposedly 12 million
of them. That is 12% of the population of Mexico. One in every eight
Mexicans is in the US. Deporting them at the rate of 100,000 per month would
take ten years presuming no new one's enter. If each INS agent deports 10
per month we need 10,000 of them. That is just agents not counting all the
support personnel. And that is deport those already here. It is not guarding
the border to prevent entry or turning them back while still in the desert.
It means that many just to deal with those already here and employed, the
hardest to find.
2006 March 23
Let me be the first
There is an outbreak of bird flu in the Gaza Strip. Palestine does not have
the resources to deal with it because Israel has cut of funding of the
government, i.e., stealing tariffs due it. Gaza will be the vector for the
disease for all of Europe. Let me also predict Palestinians will be blamed
for it.
Ever listen to Bush's speeches?
He has been reminding Iraqis they have to set aside their differences. Does
anyone find a problem how Iraqis hear that? A foreigner, a born again
redneck and a Republican is telling them what they have to do.
This is about as dumb as telling Iraqis we are fighting terrorists in Iraq
so we won't have to fight them here. Bush has told Iraqis he is turning Iraq
into a US battleground so the US will not have to fight its wars in the US.
Can you imagine how Iraqis love us for turning their country into a
surrogate US battleground?
If Iraqis believe Bush, as to all the warmongers in the US, then all the
fighting in Iraq is because of the US. And of course Iraqis love Americans
because of that. And lame ass Americans think Iraqis should love us because
we have turned their country into our battleground.
Back to the point. Bush lectures Iraqis on the need to create national unity
in a nation that was created by the Brits in the 1920s. Has anyone polled
Iraqis on their desire for unity around the nation the Brits created? What
is the point of the Bush lectures?
And what really is the arrogance that permits the head of the occupation
forces in Iraq to lecture to Iraqis? Is he not the man any real Iraqi loves
to hate? Who in the fuck is this asshole?
The real problem
The real problem is as long as the US is in Iraq in any capacity Iraqis are
going to be including it in every strategy and tactic for political control
of Iraq. Of course it is for political control of the country just as
Republicans and Democrats try for political of the US.
And of course they were promised democracy, winner take all, not a
constitutional republic with protections for all. Look at all the US talk
about its intentions going into the war.
FUBAR
You see, Iraq is the inspiration for all of the middle east to adopt
democracy and go through at least three years of chaos to get there.
And that is Bush for you. A cheering section without facts to sell the
occupation of Iraq.
Who could possibly look at Iraq and want what democracy brings?
2006 March 22
My name is Rachael Corrie
The play should have opened in New York City today but was canceled due to
pressure from Jews. Rachael Corrie tells of the American peace worker who
was murdered in the Gaza Strip by Israeli occupation forces. It played to
critical acclaim in London. London is not controlled by Jews. New York City
is controlled by Jews. How else explain this?
To understand, think of Abe Foxman as Ellsworth Toohey.
2006 March 21
Bush is deranged
The more I read of what Bush says the more psychotic he sounds.
He actually said if Iraq is not a model western democracy then the US is in
danger. Quote. The security of our country is directly linked to the liberty
of the Iraqi people. Unquote. The man is a lunatic. No rational person could
say that. He is deranged. He is out of touch with reality.
There are no freebies because it is a political speech. In fact he declared
it was a speech to build support for the Iraq not-a-war. He is a whacko. He
is out of touch with reality. There are no excuses because he is a
politician. Period. Impeachment for irrational behavior. A lunatic is
running the country.
QED the thing has been demonstrated.
He never stops dropping the other shoe
How long we will be in Iraq? That will be a decision of future presidents
says the Bush. So we can expect at least three more years of Iraq. Did
anyone besides the critics of this stupid adventure know how long? Why are
his supporters faking innocence?
Meanwhile in Iraq
They can't figure out what kind of government they want. Months since the
election and they have met for a total of 37 minutes.
2006 March 20
Things are better every day in Iraq
Back in my day, one finger was all a real American needed. Today real
Americans love to be lied to. The "message" from the White House is to build
support for the war by telling lies about Iraq. I have this old fashioned
idea that one builds support for a war by explaining the facts of the war.
All we are getting is feel-good slogans.
Coming milestone
In six more months the US war in Iraq will have lasted longer than WWII. It
is not a war but we will continue fighting until we achieve victory in this
not-a-war thing in Iraq. The mission accomplished nearly three years ago was
to create this not-a-war so we could stay and fight for years to achieve
victory in not-a-war.
And what is victory asked the doubting Pilate. Bush won't tell us. But he
assures us the imperial "we" will not retreat. He won't tell us which way is
forward but "we" won't retreat from whichever direction "we" are headed.
No matter where you are going, there you are I guess.
One of his lackeys said we are building a unified Iraq. It was unified when
we found it. It's hard to find smart lackeys these days.
General George W. "I'm waiting for retirement" Casey said he didn't expect the
insurgency to be so robust. Such a useful word, robust. Makes it sound like
coffee. Dear General, the US has never been able to deal with any level of
insurgency even the wimpy kind.
While I have your attention, General, what kind of insurgency would you be
running if the Iraq troops were crawling all over the US? Wimpy, robust, or
bad as hell? Just what did you expect Iraqis to do? Smile at the nice
Americans? Unlike Bush they don't know how good we are. It is hard to see
the good from the wrong end of a gun barrel.
The other George W. told reporters this marks the third anniversary of the
beginning of the liberation of Iraq. Aren't they liberated
enough yet? How much more liberated can they get? Three years ago the George
Ws began liberating Iraq for the clutches of Iraqis. Is forward succeeding
in completely liberating Iraq from Iraqis? (Liberating Iraq, liberating
Europe, too many John Wayne movies for this administration.)
Looks to me like Iraq is being liberated to death.
Enter the Dick
Remember this is the Dick who say a year ago that the insurgency was in its
last throes. He assured the world he was using throes correctly while the
rest of us were questioning the word last.
Cheney said it was good news that Iraq had met all the political deadlines
set for them. Who set the deadlines for them? Their liberators of course.
Iraqis are not free to set their own deadlines. That is why it is called an
occupation.
And where General W sees an insurgency, the Dick sees terrorists who have
"reached a stage of desperation." They have gotten so desperate they are
kicking the crap out of anyone they want, any time they want and no one can
stop them. That is desperate. Think what they will be doing when they get
very, very desperate.
There is good news though. The dead-enders are gone. Remember them? They
used to be the cause of the fighting back when it was low level. Looks like
it wasn't much of a dead end for them.
Call them anything but the Resistance
The resistance has gotten stronger from the first day. It shows no sign of
decreasing. The Ws and the Dicks keep lying about what is going on. What is
going on is in all the news around the world available over the internet.
Anyone can read it and know the Ws and the Dicks are lying.
They don't report the good news? 98% of Iraqi children have been vaccinated
against polio. That is up from 94% in 2003. In other news, US troops execute
four children along with their parents. A waste of four perfectly good
vaccinations. I do not care if the execution story is true or not. Iraqis
will believe it is true. Le Resistance lives on.
2006 March 19
Iraq in civil war?
A civil war is one fought against the government for control of the country.
It is not a war to prevent people from separating from a country -- correct,
the American Civil War was not a civil war.
The elected government of Iraq doesn't seem to have a dog in this fight. In
the sense of Iraqis fighting, it is US troops leading an Iraqi army that
can't shoot straight against US chosen targets. In the sense of most of the
fighting it is rival groups, with one of those groups being US troops, each
fighting for their own objectives. Only the US can be construed as fighting
to maintain control of the government. At the moment no group appears to be
interested in controlling the government, at best interested in liberating
the government from US control.
Since the mission was accomplished it has gotten better every day. What kind
of idiot is Bush to say this? What kind of idiot believes this crap?
2006 March 18
Operation Swarmer, the largest hype since invasion
Fifty helos and 1500 troops, 800 US and 700 Iraqi, land in a rural farm area
of Iraq with an equal number of 1500 residents (men, women and children)
amid great fanfare in the US media and finds nothing of interest. There was
no resistance. No shots were fired. One has to be impressed with the
uncritical reporting of military press releases. Rest assured the Iraqi
troops performed exceedingly well in this "perilous" field exercise.
Another hit for Israel
Haaretz reports Israeli police, again, managed to kill a 12 year old
Palestinian girl with a single bullet in the head while shooting at the
tires of the car. As usual, it was her fault.
2006 March 17
To hell with Al Qaeda
The new US National Security
Strategy is out and is official. Not one mention of Al Qaeda or anything
like it. Under Bush's "leadership" the cause for the wars on Afghanistan and
Iraq is no longer of interest. The US political echelon has its objectives
and 9/11 was only useful to sucker Americans into supporting their real
goals.
The real goal is in there too but not explicitly. It is to purify the world
using military intervention into local conflicts and unfriendly governments
as the pretext.
I got caught
I fell into the warmonger tactic of calling Iraq a preemptive war when it is
not. A good argument can be made for a preemptive war which gives the
warmongers something to talk about.
But Iraq was at most a preventative war. A war against something that may or
may not happen at some time in the future. As such it is justifying war
based upon reading tea leaves. No man may know the future. It is impossible
to justify a preventative war. It is always a criminal war of aggression.
2006 March 16
Speaking of Bush lies
He said Iran was supporting the insurgency in Iraq. He said Iran was
supplying unspecified material for roadside bombs. He produced no evidence.
General Pace, Chairman of the Joints Chiefs of Staff, said there was no
evidence. Bush has clearly lied. Americans are too stupid to care.
And at the same time Bush is reiterating his claim to a right to a criminal
preemptive war and in the same speech declaring Iran is the greatest threat
to the US. Both being the same lies he told about Iraq. He did attack Iraq.
He will attack Iran.
In the Soviet Union the political echelon always knew more than the
military echelon. In the US the military has yet to learn they had better
know the same things.
2006 March 15
Moussaoui sentencing trial
Now that the government prosecutors have hopelessly contaminated their case
I finally read reports of what they are attempting to prove. It is theater
of the absurd.
The claim is if Moussaoui in August 2001 had not lied to interrogators that
9/11 could have been prevented. The prevention would have been locking and
stronger doors cockpit doors and related physical changes. That is at most
41 days to make the changes. The FAA has never made a formal recommendation
in only 41 days. And when they do make a binding recommendation the time
frame for implementation is at least a year and usually two years so the
changes can happen in the normal overhaul cycle.
So the prosecution says Moussaoui deserves the death penalty because if he
had told what he knew every plan in the US would have been modified in 41
days or less. The government has to consider the jurors ignorant and stupid
to think they would fall for such a stupid position.
Long passed winning in Iraq
Disregarding the fact that victory in Iraq is not defined, the time is long
passed for the US to impose or control and likely passed the point of having
a significant impact on the future of Iraq. For two years now Iran has had
more influence in Iraq than the US. From the end of "all major combat
operations" the US has had only a negative influence.
There was a six month period of goodwill from the Iraqis. This was while
they expected the US to leave Iraq. As that hope faded the resistance
started and then increased. I have no idea how it looked to them but I can
certainly see the US actions in Iraq viewed as imposing American ideas.
First there was a refusal to schedule elections which was only reversed by
Al-Sadr's Mahdi army giving the US an example of what organized resistance
could do. Next there was assurance of an election after a census was taken
but nothing but foot-dragging on organizing a census. Again Al-Sadr
influenced US thinking. But from the beginning to this day rather than
withdrawing troops there has been instead a slow but steady increase.
After all of this there is no way to start fresh. There is no possible plan
to gain Iraqi support. Simply because all the previous have failed so
miserably the US will not be given a chance to try another plan.
2006 March 14
Bush builds support for Iraq war
Or so he says that is what he is doing. But he is not. His first speech
tries to drag Iran into the war. How that supports the Iraq war, a war which
ended in May 2003, is not clear. Nor is it clear why he thinks a slightly
better component or two in roadside bombs coming from Iran makes the least
bit of difference. Nor is it clear why anyone would. It certainly doesn't
impress me.
But he and the warmongers will be claiming the case for the Iraq war has
been made and only evil terrorist sympathizers will say otherwise. How does
creating a similar fabric of lies about Iran support the long ended war in
Iraq?
The strangest thing about this effort is that it is clear to anyone who has
looked into the matter is Iraq is a total failure for Bush. It happened on
his watch. He failed. Blame Iran. Might as well blame Canada.
What is clear to anyone is Bush's war is of no benefit to the US. It is a
silly little war.
< I almost forgot to add
Needless to say Bush provided nothing to support his claim Iran was doing
anything. I guess I am so used to saying Bush has never had any evidence for
anything he has said about Iraq and Iran that assumed it was said.
2006 March 05
Iran will attack soon
Germany used a fake attack by Poland to justify his war. Any time now Iran
will "attack" the US.
Increase demands until a sovereign nation cannot agree
In the news today, Bush gives Iran 30 day ultimatum to end its nuclear
enrichment program.
2006 March 01
Who is still fighting the war in Iraq?
Only politicians in Washington. Polls in the US say the voters are against
it. Polls in Iraq say the troops are against it. No one has to poll Iraqis
to see they are against it. The only people left supporting this war are the
politicians in Washington. This is a very strange war when the only people
supporting the war are those running the show. In all other cases this is
called a dictatorship.
What good are elections when there is no choice?
Which brings me to another favorite point. What do sports teams focus on?
The war? Of course not. The focus on winning over the other teams. What do
politicians focus on? The war? Of course not. They focus on winning the next
election. Politicians are detached from reality. They play their only little
game of elections won. The country is not their concern.
2006 February 28
US gives Iran one week
Increasing the demand the US, which has no standing in the
matter, has given Iran one week to give up its inalienable right to produce
nuclear fuel. Even if a nuclear weapon is Iran's objective no credible
estimate says it can be accomplished in less than ten years. As there is no
urgency in this matter increasing the demands is following the pattern of
Iraq.
Speaking of brainwashed
A Zogby poll of US troops released today finds 90% of US troops in Iraq
think they are there because of Iraq's role in 9/11. Two years ago the US
government admitted what thinking people knew all along that Iraq had
nothing to do with 9/11. The brainwashing of troops in Iraq is very
effective.
Troop withdrawal promises
Remember those promises? I pointed out they were all conditional on
conditions in Iraq improving. Conditions have taken a huge turn for the
worse. Screw the promises.
2006 February 27
Iran and Russia strike uranium enrichment deal
The reason for the US attack on Iran has just gone away. Therefore it is
time for the US to make a greater demand on Iran.
Election 2006 prediction
This is a qualified prediction but of interest. The non-bushites have been
complaining about voting machine problems since the 2000 elections. Most
have ignored it. If there is a Democrat victory in November, the bushites
will take is very seriously and call for new elections.
Depleted Uranium from Iraq reached England a year ago
That means it is in the US today and will only increase.
2006 February 23
Iraq violence
At one time I thought the worse charge against Hussein was the use of
excessive force. The more I see of Iraq without him the more I think I may
have judged him too harshly.
2006 February 21
Signs of a rout from Iraq
This has not happened yet so I can put it in the prediction category. There
have been on and off attacks against US bases. Eventually some US commander
is going to slip up. The attack will escalate into a siege. The siege will
require outside support to end. The image of invincibility will disappear
and sieges will become the order of the day.
Politics make bedfellows strange
Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization united against Hamas. You
gotta love it.
2006 February 20
Iran/Iraq, a letter makes no difference
If Iran agrees to have Russia reprocess its nuclear fuel the US will simply
make another, greater demand. This will continue until a great enough demand
is made that Iran cannot agree. That is what was done to Afghanistan and
Iraq.
2006 February 18
Keep track of Iran
Back with the Iraq war Bush lied about some congressional resolution giving
him the authority to conquer Iraq. At this time let us agree nothing has
given him the authority to attack Iran. So if we keep track of when he does
not have the authority we will not have a problem knowing he is lying when
he claims something in the passed gave him the authority. By the time he
does that we will have already discounted whatever he is going to claim is
his authority.
Rumsfeld at his dumbest
In response to the UN call to close Guantanamo he ridiculed complaints from
the prisoners themselves saying they were trained to lie. As he is a
politician I don't think he really wants to go there so we can look at his
lies. But he says they are trained to lie. Lets run with it.
Where were they trained? By who? Can we see a copy of the training manual?
What does this training consist of? Why is it politicians are so good at
lying without needing formal training? Who is stupid enough to think anyone
needs training in lying?
Moving right along. He says there are terrorist there who, if released,
would try to kill Americans. I have a news flash for Rummy, any innocents
there will try to kill Americans if they are release and have any balls at
all. And they have every moral right to do so. Thanks, Rummy.
2006 February 17
Bush is defending the United States
I read fools are still saying this. Where did we get so many fools? Who is
still idiot enough to think he defended the US from Hussein? This recalls
the idiocy that Bush is our commander in chief which obviously has
not responded to the voice of reason, common sense and the plain text of the
limited powers delegated to the president by we, the people.
The Iraq war is not defending the United States. No one who died there or in
Afghanistan died defending the United States. No one injured there was
injured defending the United States. Every penny of the half trillion
dollars spent on this phony war on terror would have been better spent
actually defending the United States.
President's powers
He is the civilian head, the commander in chief, of the military when the
military is engaged in a real war, not a phony war on poverty or drugs or
terror, but a real war. Nothing more.
While it is amusing should a president claim powers beyond the constitution
actually doing something beyond the powers in the constitution is tyranny.
And it is impeachable. And it is criminal after impeachment as his actions
were all on his personal authority and responsibility. They had nothing to
do with the office of president.
2006 February 16
Lame excuses on the 4th Amendment
The reason the innocent people in Guantanamo cannot exercise 4th amendment
rights is because the US Constitution does not apply outside the US -- so
sayeth the US Justice Department. Lets run with this.
The authority of Congress to pass laws is based upon the Constitution. If
the Constitution does not apply outside the US then the laws of the US do
not apply outside of the US. Congress makes all the laws which regulate the
US military but military laws does not apply to the military outside of the
US.
If the US Constitution does not apply outside the country then it follows
state constitutions and therefore state laws do not apply outside the
individual states. The latter is true which is why the constitution requires
the states to honor each other's laws else extradition treaties would be
needed. Nations do have extradition treaties because their laws to not apply
beyond their borders.
Thus it appear Justice is correct but all the above statements are also
true. There are no lawful military orders beyond the borders of the US. In
fact once an army leaves the US it is free to do whatever it wants as the
power of the President as its commander in chief ends at the borders. All
the troops over there are on their own doing their own thing.
2006 February 15
How dumb are Americans?
How dumb Americans are knowing the Iraq nuclear weapons program was all lies
now believe the same lies about Iran.
2006 February 13
I don't get no respect
Back in 2002 after Bush announced his fantasy war on terror would not end in
our lifetimes I called it the forever war. DOD has finally gotten around to
renaming this the Long War. So why didn't I get at least a casual mention?
I forgive them but
But I will not buy into the 1984 unending war scenario any more now that it
has been declared than I did back when I predicted it. It means the
arbitrary suspension of constitutional guarantees and civil liberties for
the rest of of my life. And as 3/4 of the people Bush was addressing are
younger than me, he promised government tyranny would continue long after I
am dead.
The short form
King George III was a tyrant. The colonial revolution was against his
tyranny. The constitution and the bill of rights were created to prevent
tyranny in the US. Bush is violating the constitution. Bush is a tyrant. QED
The 1776 revolution against tyranny was justified. A revolution against
tyranny today is justified.
2006 February 12
The coming attack on Iran
Certainly the US is going to attack Iran. Bush is too stupid not to. And
Iran will counterattack in its own way. It will not attack US troops on the
ground in Iraq.
The most obvious targets are nonmilitary US assets around the world and in
the US. And the US response will be that Iran is not fighting fair and
stupid Americans will swallow it.
First thing is despite US lies, Iran's nuclear program is for civilian power
not military weapons. Therefore Iran can legitimately attack civilian
targets. Second, it is certain some civilians will be killed in the US
attack. As it is a civilian power program not a military program those
killed are legitimately regarded as innocent civilians. Therefore US
civilians are legitimate targets even though they are innocent of the
attack.
The goebbelized news media
With a responsiveness and unquestioning devotion the US media continues to
repeat the US governments lies about Iran. At every opportunity it refers to
Iran's bomb program rather than nuclear power program. This is the same
slavish devotion it demonstrated in repeating all the administration lies
about Iraq.
Point of no return on the Iran war
That was passed a few weeks ago when the US successfully pressured the IAEA
to refer Iran to the Security Council. The only point of this is for show as
when the UNSC refused to authorize war on Iraq the US ignored it. So no
matter what the outcome of the referral the war will go on. Deja Vu all over
again.
Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty
The NNT is perversely referred to as the NPT in the US. Fact of life is Iran
is not now nor has it ever been in violation of that treaty. But forcing a
UNSC referral over what the treaty guarantees are Iran inalienable rights
ends the treaty.
2006 February 09
Israel's first thought is once again theft
Israel collects customs duties for Palestine. Now that Hamas has won
Israel's first thought it not to give the money to Palestine. The argument
goes there is no way to assure the money will not go to the resistance
movement which Israel calls terrorism. If for the moment we agree with this
argument it follows Israel has no right to collect the customs duties. This
would make Palestine a duty free zone bringing Israeli shoppers to Palestine
in droves and undercutting Israeli businesses.
Hamas victory
There is nothing I can add to the comments. The hypocrisy of promoting
democracy and then punishing the voters which produced the undesired
election results is obvious. You can vote as long as you vote the way
foreigners want you to vote. Every country but mostly Israel is spinning it
as the primary justification for what it planned to do even if Hamas had
gotten no votes. The world mostly demands Hamas recognize Israel without
demanding Israel recognize Palestine.
Israeli politics
They are as boring as the politics of any other foreign country.
2006 January 26
Hamas needs advice from me like a hole in the head
But I do have some. I previously posted
other suggestions. I hope I don't sound too Jewish telling people how to
live their lives.
Israel demands it be recognized. Make an offer of reciprocal recognition.
Offer to recognize Israel within its 1948 borders in a reciprocal statement
where Israel recognizes Palestine every place outside those borders.
There is no problem offering negotiations on the borders to be recognized.
Negotiating the joint declaration is the right thing to do. Certainly no one
would want to have to declare Israel is not a partner in peace.
There are going to be many speeches upon assuming power. Please, in every
case, thank Israel and the US for giving Hamas its start. In doing so
emphasize the humanitarian aspects of Hamas.
2006 January 24
Idiot Bush
The US has just demanded that Syria invade Lebanon and disarm the Shia
militias in Lebanon. Bolton, US Ambassador to the UN, demanded Syria disarm
them. There is no way to do that but to invade Lebanon.
Iran's madness?
Iran's president responds to Israeli and American bluster about its nuclear
power program by pointing out it can shut off most oil from the middle east.
With that oil spikes $10 per barrel and Iran earns an extra $25 million
dollars a day. A few days of that and Iran can buy North Korean nukes.
2006 January 22
Betting on death
Rumor has it there are odds on how Larry Franklin will die in the next few
months, suicide or unexplainable accident.
Hillary loves Israel
Hillary Clinton is drumming up a US war against Iran claiming it is a threat
to Israel. I had never thought of her as the redneck born again fruitcake
type. Or she is just stumping to get Americans killed to protect a foreign
country as the usual run of the mill traitor.
Iran and nukes?
The US threatened Iran against building a natural gas pipeline to India.
Looks like the only interest the US has is keeping Iran a 3rd world country.
2006 January 21
Abramoff suddenly donated to Democrats
There are names and resignations of Republicans who took bribes/donations
from Abramoff. There is no hint of any Democrat being involved with
Abramoff. But the GOP put a claim that Democrats were involved in a set of
talking points on Abramoff. There is no other source for this claim.
Instantly the New York Times and Washington Post and at least NBC news began
saying "Republicans and Democrats" with regard to Abramoff.
2006 January 20
Spy for Israel Larry Franklin gets 12 years
And that was the plea bargain for testimony against AIPAC officials. Looks
like those guys are going down for a much longer time. Their trial starts in
April. Watch for Jewish whines to fill the media.
For those who missed it, Franklin worked for the Office of Special Plans in
the Pentagon. That is the grouped that produced the lies about Iraq and is
now producing them about Iran.
Jonathan Pollard, the other spy
Jewish whines about Pollard continue to this day. The official whine is that
the average sentence has been much shorter than the time Pollard has served
and that reverses the issues. The average time served has been much less
because the US traded convicted spies with Russia. Their sentences were
about the same with some exceptions as for the Rosenbergs who were executed.
2006 January 18
For the record
Bush has absolutely not authorization to attack Iran from Congress in any
way, shape or form, period. Any statement to the contrary is a lie.
The New York Times is no longer liberal
It failed to report Al Gore's denunciation of Bush's criminal actions. Not
one word about the speech being given much less quotes from it. Of course
this is also the paper that covered up his crimes for over a year.
Bush is the first president in the history of the US to admit to thousands
of criminal acts under his authority. One would think a major response
recognizing that to be newsworthy.
2006 January 17
Predator Drone attack screws up again
The above is not news. The news would be if it had worked. 18 dead in the
latest attack in Pakistan following 8 killed a week earlier. All of them
innocents and not the purported target.
As a matter of fact of all the drone delivered missiles attacks there has
been only one claim of success by the US. We should demand better propaganda
than that.
2006 January 14
Al Qaeda has membership application forms
I couldn't make this stuff up. That is the claim made with a straight face
by the US government. I guess they copied from the highly successful Crips
and Bloods application forms.
When you stop laughing, if you can stop laughing, realize this claim was
made against Jose Padilla, the man falsely imprisoned for four years on idiotic dirty bomb rumors.
2006 January 09
Bremer: We didn't see the insurgency coming
This idiot was put in charge. I saw it coming. Anyone who saw what Americans
would do in the circumstances of Iraqis saw it coming. But this clown will
make a buck on his book.
How dumb do they think we are?
Iran is not being accused of trying to buy zirconium for use in bombs by
buying a ton of zirconium silicate. Pardon me but does a bomb need more than
a few pounds at most? So if it were secret would they not have a few dozen
small orders placed from within the country which would never be inspected?
This is as dumb as the idea Iranians have plans for nuclear weapons on
laptop computers ready for stealing.
If you want to secretly buy zirconium in quantity, buy house paint.
Zirconium oxide is one of the best white pigments in standard house paint.
You likely have some such paint on your walls.
Obviously they know we are very dumb.
2006 January 08
I couldn't make up this stuff
In an AP article Chairman JCS
Gen Pace is quoted with the following.
Pace said he believes the violence, which flared anew Thursday on one of the
bloodiest days in Iraq in months, will abate as more Iraqis become convinced
that the December elections will produce a representative government that
will improve their lives.
"As they see their own government providing a way ahead that all of their
citizens can understand as progress for their country, ... those who are
fighting against the government right now who are Iraqis will more and more
lay down their arms and decide to become part of the future of Iraq and not
the past," Pace said.
Yet the earliest prediction for forming a government as a result of the
election is April, three months away.
Let us say that is reasonable. Then in a normal legislative session in a
long running democracy the first legislation of interest should appear six
to nine months later. So this man thinks that between ten and thirteen
months from now Iraqis will start to see progress for Iraq. And then the
violence will cease to increase.
So the violence in Iraq will continue to increase over the next year while
we are promised troops will be brought home if the violence decreases and it
will take over a year to see if this new government in Iraq will in fact
cause a reduction in the violence.
Yes, general, your job does require you to spout political bullshit in
direct contradiction to your position as a military leader.

Bush's successful Iraq election
He said it was a great success. Therefore 60 dead yesterday and 130 dead
today must be his idea of success. No, I am not saying he should have been
able to see the future -- yes I am in one sense -- rather he should have had
the sense not to try to make political points until he was certain things
would be better because of the election.

Nonfeasance by Bush
First there was malfeasance in violating the wiretap law. The next was back
in late 2004 when he got the New York Times to sit on the story. Now he has
instigated a criminal investigation to find the person who leaked the story.
What is missing from this picture? Back in late 2004 he knew a crime had
been committed in leaking the story but he did not pursue a criminal
investigation. That is willful failure to faithfully execute the laws of the
United States.

Who authorized Bush's War on Iran?
I might as well ask the question now as no one else is asking it. And no one
is going to ask it after he attacks Iran. The same question applies to war
on Syria. He does have the authority to respond to a surprise attack by
either country. He does have some limited authority to respond to cross
border attacks by non-government forces. His hands are tied on using
military force if such forces should retreat into towns and cities as he
needs a declaration of war to do that.
We know there will be all kinds of spurious justification for these wars
after they start as happened in the war on Iraq. Maybe this is why the
Bullshitters are not making public statements on the reasons. But we should
insist on knowing the reasons now.
The media propagandists are following a media line of calling these future
events simply attacks rather than wars. Pearl Harbor was only an attack not
a war, right? What can Iran do? Send oil over $100/bbl without losing a
penny in revenue. Iran did it in 1973 and can do it again.
Who did authorize this war? If Congress did not authorize it, why is the
administration telling other governments to get ready for war? Does congress
know about it and remain silent? Does the New York Times know about it and
remain silent? How come I am one of the few not remaining silent? No wonder
the Times won't hire me.
Maybe Bush has had learned so much from his other wars this might be the one
he does not screw up.
Never forget, President Dredd is the law.

When are peace treaties coming
Do not Afghanistan and Iraq deserve peace treaties? We know neither has
surrendered so it is difficult to create treaties.
The divine right of presidents
As we know by the admission of the editor that the New York Times held back
on publishing Bush's wiretapping crimes we have to ask a very important
question. What other stories is he refusing to published? Lets get
him on record he is not holding back reporting on other of Bush's crimes.
Not that it would matter as he is accountable to no one but his publisher.
Israeli politics
There are three serious contenders for Prime Minister in the March 2006
election. Jumping the gun Netanyahu has promised to start a war with Iran if
elected. Sharon has been talking about starting that war for two years.
Peretz is trying to focus on internal, social issues.
I do not intend to comment on Israeli politics that much. It is as boring as
any other foreign country's politics. Rather look at it from Iran's point of
view. Ever since Israel fomented the war on Iraq it has focused on fomenting
a war with Iran. (Onward Christian Soldiers) But when the new president of
Iran returns the war of words against Israel all the western countries jump
to attack him. Not one of those countries has said one word about nuclear
armed Israel's promise of war on Iran.
Nuclear armed Israel threatens to start a war with Iran over the future
possibility Iran having a nuclear deterrence against Israel.
