Iraq's Pop

A mere 18 months ago every mention of the population of Iraq was a consistent 21 million. From the start of the invasion the population number given has been steadily climbing. Every few months someone adds a million to the population. Over the weekend a report on al-Sadr's conditions gave the population as 26 million.

One of the american excuses for not permitting elections in Iraq was there has been no census for over ten years. There is no factual basis for these increases. And if it were simply a better estimate it would have increased just once. There would not be this steady increase.

In another eight months Iraq's population should reach 30 million. Remember you read it here first.

Today a news report in al Jazeera put the population of Iraq at 28 million. Maybe our troops are not suffering for lack of female companionship.
