The whine is very simple. Neither the US nor Britain bombed Auschwitz nor
the rail lines leading to it nor anything to disrupt operations there. The
operations in this version of the whine are understood to mean the gassing
of some indeterminate number of Jews.
This whine about not bombing Auschwitz started in the early 1990s. It was
rejected as absurd at the time by everyone. No holohugger could mount any
case at all much less a convincing one. Since then no new information has
surfaced; no new arguments have been introduced. All that has happened is
holohuggers have repeating the allegation over and over. It is no more
credible now than it was then.
Keep in mind no two holohuggers agree on exactly what happened and when. So
if you read someone claiming to refute this article rest assured some
holohugger somewhere has said everything I am saying. They need to come up
with a single story before they criticize others.
This is an important point. The more common time-lines hold gassing
operations did not begin until 1942 and all operations were ended
by October 1944.
Less commonly known is there were dozens of incredible stories circulating
about Auschwitz. None of these incredible stories is taken seriously today.
Given the impossibilities and contradictions in the gas chamber stories there
was no particular reason to believe them. In fact jewish organizations
rejected them.
The first thing to consider is the bombers in Europe in WWII had a limited
range. The consequence was bombers could only reach Auschwitz after bases
became available in Northern Italy.
Next they were dropping plain iron bombs not laser guided bombs. During WWII
a bomber crew was considered successful if its bombs hit within a mile of
the target. Believe it or not, one mile. There was clearly no way to bomb
"just the gas chambers."
One of the reasons Russia built the gas chamber to show tourists in 1948 is
no one had identified the gas chambers at that late date. None of those
reports of gas chambers ever mentioned its location. So even if some fool
was willing to risk his life to come in low he would not know what to bomb.
Normal bombing raids on Auschwitz would have simply slaughtered the inmates.
Imagine if instead of dying of typhus in Belsen camp Anne Frank had died in
an Allied bombing raid at Auschwitz. It would cause a greater shift of
opinion than occurs when people learn she did not die at Auschwitz.
Attempting to bomb rail lines is equally dumb. With that one mile radius
actually hitting tracks is a very stupid idea. If by chance one was hit,
rail lines are expected to stand up to trains going over them for years
without maintenance. Whatever damage a bomb would do could be repair by a
small crew in less than a day.
The Allies did not bomb German rail lines, they bombed rail yards, very big
targets that took a long time to repair. When the Allies had absolute air
superiority fighters attacked trains not the lines themselves. Replacing a
rail and a few ties is a quick job. Getting the engine and dozens of cars
off the tracks and replacing all the rails damaged by the derailing cars was
a much longer repair.
The idea is a delusional and the people who believe it are deranged fools.
They have been from the beginning. But that did not stop one of them from
trying to profit by suing the US for not bombing Auschwitz.
